500 | _aIn the beverage industry, a significant portion of its stock that has been deemed to be returned or expired must be disposed of as per regulations. However, these stocks contain sugar, a valuable resource that may be put to use as a feedstock in biorefineries to facilitate the generation of biofuels. Used or stale drinks that have passed their expiration date are stored at a nearby collecting facility before being sent to biorefineries. If water is removed from the sugar stock before it is delivered to biorefineries, the number of trips can be cut down, the sugar stock can become more concentrated, and it may become a viable source of feed for biorefineries. This investigation plans to recover water via the process of distillation, transform the beverages that have been wasted or have expired into concentrated sugar stocks, and evaluate the practicability of the technology. The creation of a life cycle inventory for the purpose of recovering the water and concentrating the sugars in discarded stocks is one of the important goals. | ||
