'Documentary's Expanded Fields' offers a new look at how digital technologies in the twenty-first century have cultivated emerging types of documentary practices. In so doing, it classifies artifacts based on the practices into five concepts of documentary cinema, image, vision, dispositif, archive, and activism. With these concepts, it argues for the ways in which the artifacts refashion what documentary cinema has been and expands our understanding of what it is now.
