Western Rajasthan holds substantial solar energy potential compared to other regions in India. However, the region's strong wind forces and complex geological terrain raise concerns about the stability of solar structures, particularly the foundations supporting them. Limited research exists on the stability analysis of such foundations. This study focuses on evaluating the uplift capacity of mini piles supporting solar PV panels at the Bhadla solar park in Rajasthan. Mini piles are used due to their short length and are subjected primarily to wind loads. The wind force acting on these piles generates moments that induce rotational forces about their depth, resulting in lateral displacements. Numerical modeling of the soil-pile interaction was conducted using Finite Element Modeling (FEM) software, specifically PLAXIS 2D. Sensitivity and parametric analyses were performed to determine the model parameters influencing the design of mini piles for solar structures. The study investigates the effects of embedment length (l), diameter (d), eccentricity (free-standing length), and soil internal friction angle (φ) on the lateral displacement caused by wind loads. Detailed analysis and discussion of the results are presented to optimize the design and stability of mini piles in supporting solar structures ER -
