The objective of this thesis work is to understand the applications of multimodal machine learning and explore ongoing research in this field. There is significant potential to enhance accuracy by improving the fusion of different modalities. Additionally, we aim to investigate the utilization of graph neural networks to enhance the explainability of multimodal emotion recognition classifiers.
